Tbilisi to host UEFA Super Cup 2015

Great news for Georgian football fans – the UEFA Executive Committee has awarded UEFA Super Cup to Tbilisi in 2015. The UEFA Super Cup is an annual football match between the reigning champions of the Champions League and the Europa League. The game will be held at the newly renovated Mikheil Meshki Stadium.

This won’t be the only big sports event that Tbilisi will host in 2015, same year European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) will also take place in Georgia’s capital. The question is will the Georgian Football Federation enlarge Mikheil Meskhi Stadium or not, because currently it can only host up to 27,000 people. In the meantime, check out the promotion video for the Uefa Super Cup 2015 Tbilisi:

Summer in Georgia (New Promotional Video)

I have just stumbled upon on a new promotional advert for Georgia called – Summer in Georgia. The clip shows some of the newly built buildings and beautiful shots of landscapes that are accompanied by a modernized version of a traditional Georgian folk song – Shen Bicho Anagurelo. The  punchline of the video is: Georgia – for the best moments of your life. Check it out:
